Guitar Lesson Terms and Conditions (Please read):

I love teaching guitar and hate handing out rules and regulations. However, teaching guitar is my living as such I need a few simple safeguards. All lessons given by me (Matt) are subject to the following terms and conditions.

1. Late arrival- The Number 1 rule  - Please please please arrive for your lesson on time, you are more than welcome to have a tea/coffee/softdrink in reception if you arrive early. Remember its your lessons and your time, I have lots of pupils to see and for this reason cannot over run on your allocated lesson slot....drummers are late, guitarists are always in time! ;o)

2. Fees – lesson fees are payable at the start of each block booking by cash/cheque or bank transfer and are subject to annual review.

3. Missed Lessons - Any lesson missed without 24 hour prior notice will be lost ( you will have paid for this lesson). Any scheduled lesson cancelled by Matt will obviously not be subject to any charge!

4. Cancellations - Any student who wishes to cancel a lesson will need to give 24 hours clear notice in which case no fee will be due. Anything less than 24 hours notice and you will need to pay the full lesson cost and it will be taken off your block booking prepayment (you lose the lesson). I will always do everything I can to re-schedule lessons within the same week but please remember I have a lot of students to see.

The success is in your hands

If you want to write songs/play in a band or just strum along to your favourite tunes at home we will provide you with the knowledge and information you need to become a great guitar player, we will try to inspire and push you to be your best as much as we can while trying to have fun with it. However, the guitar takes time and patients to master, we see time and time again it is what you put in is what you get out as with any new skill. With our guidance and with regular practice we are confident we can help you reach your goals.

Try to think of it as playing your guitar not practice, enjoy it, be creative, don't be afraid of making mistakes, you might come up with something new! Beginners make the most original and inspired music a lot of the time. Annoy your parents/partners/family members... never put it down. Try and play what you hear, on the radio or TV,  see if you can find what key a piece of music is in, then see if you can figure out its chords or melody. We will provide you with the knowledge and skills to do this as we go through your learning journey, be patient and put the time in and you will see results. Guitars are cool...who wouldn't wanna play guitar!
